AU The vision started again. He saw Zuko, his beloved nephew, running towards him, calling out his name before a massive red dragon with a scar on the left side of its face came up behind him and grabbed Zuko, pulling him away before swallowing him whole. The dragon roared at Iroh before turning to fly away. But then, something new was added to the vision. A young woman’s voice rang out, calling Zuko’s name. Tease Toph was surprised that she woke up first. Since she had met him, Zuko had always been awake before her, even when he was the one who knocked her unconscious. Now that she was actually awake before him, she found herself cuddled up into Zuko’s side and, she had to admit, he was quite warm and comfortable. She found those odd thoughts entering her mind again, especially now that he was still sleeping and her hand was resting on his stomach. Shield Zuko glanced back at Toph as they walked along the mountain road. She had bullied Aang into drawing the attention of the two treasure seekers easily enough, having the Avatar, the Avatar of all people doing her bidding, take his giant flying pet into the clouds and making a show for the two as Zuko and Toph got away. Toph had also bullied him into letting her carry the statue, making a good point that if the beast took over again, someone still had to carry the statue or they could be stuck in one place as the dragon tried to protect it. Compromise Toph felt Zuko change back into his normal self and calmly walked back to the room. She knew she was leaving Aang dumbfounded, but he quickly got up and followed her before she turned a corner. He did keep a respectful distance, probably still trying to figure out what had just happened. She herself wasn’t sure what had happened, or how, but she knew the curse that held Zuko was at least under control, for the time being. Using the time to walk back to the room where Zuko was, she tried to figure out a plan for what needed to happen. More people were looking for the heirloom, and she was sure they would meet some on the way.

Fairytale Toph joined the group, hoping her disguise would fool them this time. This time, she was determined to get out and see the world! Well, she thought with a smirk, see it her way. She was blind after all, and she had a thief to track down and catch. Katara had finally agreed to help her, after some bullying of course,  and had told her this time, she would be able to pass as a guy and get out. She stayed to the back of the group, mingling, making sure she wasn’t noticed as the young men talke amongst themselves. Storm Toph paused outside of the room and tried to get a feel for where everyone was. There were the servants in the kitchen, the guards patrolling the grounds, though she had some trouble feeling the guards outside as the rain poured down. Katara, her adopted sister, was in her room, and her father…where was he? Thunder boomed outside, and she jumped, almost missing her father’s feet coming down in the study on the other side of the house.  11th - Can You Hear Me? Zuko coughed into his elbow as he walked to where he had said he would meet Toph. He reached into his pocket as the cough subsided and fingered the small box there. It had taken him six months to find the perfect one and another two to wait for it to be made the way he wanted. And it had taken all week to work up his courage to talk to Toph about it. Not that he was scared of it or Toph, but it was a huge step forward for both of them. And his sore throat and cough were only getting worse. If he didn't make his move then, he might not get another chance before Toph left for her last semester at college in five days.

10th – Waiting Zuko smiled as he heard the Christmas music as he walked up to the party. It had been too long since he had returned to his home town. But he wouldn't miss his best friends' engagement party for the world. And the chance to see the old gang. It had been two years since he had seen Katara and Aang, and four since he had seen Toph. Whenever he had come to visit Sokka, she had been away with her parents or, recently, at college or working. They had talked on the phone frequently over the past couple of years, but he wanted it to be a surprise that he was coming home tonight to see everyone. "Zuko!" He heard someone cry out

9th  -  Innocence Zuko waved to his best friend, Sokka, as he approached Sokka's house and the boy dashed out the front door, but groaned when he saw two girls trying to catch up to them. "Hurry, to the fort," Sokka said and dashed past Zuko to the oak tree in front of Sokka's house.  8th  -  Mirror "Why are you so sad?" The question came out of nowhere. Neither expected it, and both were surprised it had come out. She hadn't even realized he was in the room anymore. She had thought everyone had left. They had all been so happy, comparing each other and standing where she was now, smiling and laughing, and having fun before they headed out to the banquet. Toph had dressed up as well, and had smiled and laughed with everyone, especially Katara and Sokka when they had complimented her, but they had left and she had remained, waiting as she stared sightlessly at the…thing before her, wondering why
