So, I thought I'd update my journal. Life has been very busy. My husband was laid off from his job last month, I've been searching for a new job, we're trying to start a family and move back to our hometown. I did get a job, at a doggie day-care, and am currently looking for a 2nd job to help support us while my husband waits. He is union, a lineman apprentice, so he's on the books for a new job and should be hired again within a month or 2.
I know I'm not working with the big cats anymore, but there was too much stress, and not enough pay to keep doing that. I still will have contact with my friends in the animal trainer business, but I realized, especially with my husband being laid off, and us wanting to start a family, that I need a more stable income and have put in a few applications to some zoos in the area. I will keep pursuing those, since I still want to work with big cats, but again, I need a stable income and job.
Two of our friends just had a baby girl, named Magnolia, and are moving north to Monterey. He has been hired to be a music pastor, and though we'll miss them, we know it's God's will and hopefully we'll live close by again within a few years. In the meantime, we are trying to move back to our hometown of Huntington Beach. Our family, friends, and church are there and we're there every other weekend anyways. Also, my new job is there, so we should be moving back within a month or 2.
One more good thing, my friend Joel, he and his family won Extreme Home Makeover for their family and big cat rescue, called Forever Wild. I helped load all of his cats; 10 tigers, 2 leopards, 3 cougars, 4 servals, 2 bobcats and a lynx so they could demolish the house and sanctuary and make it better. I am so happy they got it, for they rescue so many animals, and often scrape by just so the animals can have food. The episode airs in april, probably episode 20, and Jeff Crowin came to help out. And the exciting thing, I'll be on tv with Jeff. Anytime you see him load a cat onto a trailer on the show, I'm the dark haired girl helping him. He and Ty were so nice and helpful, I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
So, here's to hoping everyone out there is doing good, I'm praying for all those needing a job or help, so keep praying for my family and friends because it does work.
